Legislative
-Nothing new right now. L&L Seminar Jan. 21 & 22. John Lawrence’s office will be in Jennersville, where Peliggi’s office was. Pat encourages everyone to join MRF. Pat will get more info on the “Bikers on the Beltway”.
Membership
-212 members, 11 expired in Dec., 14 will expire in Jan., and 10 will expire in Feb. Chris Masters will be the new Membership Officer.
Public Relations Report
-Jesse Reed turned the recorder over to Mike.
Products
-Donna has products. Scroggy Bottom shirts left. Donna can get state products if anyone is interested.
Road Captain
-Brass Nuts Run good turn out. 69 brass nuts were given out. Probably around 60 bikes showed up. Chapter helped a family at Christmas. Patriot Riders, St. Pats of Malvern, Bill & Linda McElyea, Jim & Sue Johnson, Norm & Tara Eggers, Rick & Terri Miller were some that helped out. Guru thanked everyone for all the help for this family. Guru has patches.
District 9
-Anyone bringing alcohol to the Hospitality Room must have a PA State Liquor receipt. Chili cook-off at L&L. Chester County will bring sodas. Motion was made to set aside $100.00 for the sodas. Motion was seconded and carried.

Old Business
-C.O.P.’s were printed out for everyone to see. Books are always open for everyone to see. Money was made at every event.
-L&L Seminar & Bike Pac.. Motion was made to donate $500.00 to Bike Pac, motion was made and seconded.

- Officers switched positions.. Deborah Kannas accepted the position of Treasurer, Chris Masters accepted the position of Membership, Denice Sahadi accepted the position of Public Relations. Jesse made a motion. All Motions were seconded and carried. Bill made a motion to give L&L tickets to Guru and Tim. All Motions were seconded and carried.

Legislative
-Our LC, Pat met with John Lawrence recently. Everything is quiet right now as the transition happens in Harrisburg. All existing House and Senate bills will expire at the end of this year (session).

-The Coatesville parade was a good time. And a reminder to all members with an email address please be sure Jesse has a correct address for you.
Road Captain Report

-Denise reported the treasury has $5003.01. $88.46 was paid to Brenda for Halloween party food. The chapter also paid $425.00 to the American Legion for rental of the hall for the Halloween party. The chapter also paid Tom Plank $120.00 for charcoal.
Membership
-The chapter membership is up to 208. If anyone needs pins, patches, or have any questions or concerns, please see Linda.
Legislative
Pat reminded the chapter that Tuesday is Election Day. Legislatively, everything is quiet right now due to the upcoming elections. In this month’s State Newsletter there is an article worth reading, regarding some Federal issues.
. Public Relations Report
-The Halloween party made some money for the chapter. After the expenses, we saw a profit of $221.54. The attendance was around 50 people.
Road Captain Report
-South Mountain Poker Run was a nice ride. Or chapter had 8 bikes and 11 people. Anyone who is going to the Toy Run please meet at the Wawa on Rt. 1 at 8:30 am on Nov. 7th. The group will pull out at 9am. Guru is also getting a new order together for patches, anyone interested in one please see Guru.

District 9
-Bill attended the last District 9 meeting on Oct. 17th. The District would like to host a party at the Laurel Hill Farm. This will be on Sept.3, 2011. The District will be making a $200 donation at the L&L Seminar in Jan. to BikePac.
Correspondence
-Bill received a thank you note from Canine Partners for Life. The chapter received an appreciation letter from Harry Readshaw for our donation and participation in the Gettysburg run.
Old Business
1) L&L Seminar. If there are any members interested in attending only the banquet on Saturday night, please let Bill know, he is going to information on a one ticket price.
2) Christmas Party/meeting. Dec. 5th will be our meeting and party afterward. If anyone would like help with food, please contact Brenda.
3) DelVal Toy Run. Nov.7th. Meet at Wawa at RT.1 at 8:30am, pull out at 9am.
4) Coatesville Parade. Dec.4th. Meet at Burger King at 8am. Anyone wishing to help with the chapter float meet at Bill's house on Nov.6th.

- Denise was not present, but had a detailed report for Bill to read. The chapter has a total of $5,666.47. $592.02 was paid out to members for expenses for the Scroggy Bottom Bash. $1361.00 was deposited in the account, these monies came from products, donations from the party and money grab tickets. A detailed report is available for anyone to see.
Membership
-Linda reported we have 194 members, 4 expired in Sept., 8 will expire in Oct., and 11 will expire in Nov. If anyone has any questions or concerns about membership please see Linda.
Legislative
- The House is back in session. There has been some movement on some Bills we are watching. HB1189 the MSP, HB2440 The Motorcycle Repair Bill, these bills will more than likely go to the Governor for his signature. Remember election day is coming up; everyone get out and vote.

Road Captain Report
-Ride to Gettysburg was nice; the chapter had 14 bikes and around 20 people. South Mountain will be holding a poker run on Oct. 10. Anyone from the chapter wanting to ride please meet at the Wawa at RT 10 and 30 at 8am, the group will be pulling out at 8:15. Anyone wishing more info please see Guru. If anyone is interested in the large chapter patches, you see Guru also.

Rep. Tom Houghton was present who is up for reelection this year. Tom spoke to the chapter on his views in his district.

- Pat reported that the State Legislators are still in summer session. Traffic light bill will be coming up for vote. MSP bill will also be coming up for vote. Steve reported on some Federal issues. The National level is pushing for a mandatory helmet law nationwide again. Chester County Chapter has been a member of the MRF since 1989. Please register to vote if you have done so yet.
. Public Relations Report
-Jesse has flyers for Canine Partners for Life event happening on Sept. 11. The chapter has bought spots for the cow bingo. Come out and see if the chapter wins. There was a motion made for the chapter to purchase 20 money grab tickets, this was seconded and carried. By purchasing these the chapter will have 40 chances to win $10,000.00.
Road Captain Report
Flight 93 Memorial Ride on Sept. 12, anyone wishing to ride with the group, meet at the Full Throttle Grill at 8:30am; the ride will depart at 9am. Readshaw Raiders Ride to Gettysburg will be held on Sept.25. Ride departs the Full Throttle Grill at 9am. Flyers are available. The VFW in Hockessin, DE would like to have a BBQ for our chapter members. Anyone wishing to go should let Guru know asap. The cost is $6.50, and it will be on Oct. 3 after our meeting. Oct. 10, South Mountain is having a poker run.

The next Grand Board meeting will be Sept.18. Everyone is welcome. Lancaster County Chapter is trying to get up and running again.
Correspondence
-Bill received a thank you note from Rick and Terry Miller thanking the chapter for all the help at the Cancer Aid Benefit. This year they were able to help 6 families. We also received an invitation to participate in the Coatesville parade. The members decided to participate in the parade again this year.
New Business
The chapter will be having a Christmas Party after the December meeting. Plan to attend the meeting and have some fun.
Old Business
1) Bill handed out Money Grab tickets to members to sell; remember the chapter makes $3 for each ticket sold.
2) A group will be leaving Full Throttle on Sept.12 for a ride to Shanksville.
3) The chapter has gun raffle tickets to sell for the Readshaw Raiders ride. A motion was made for the chapter to purchase any reaming tickets, motion seconded and carries. A group will be leaving Full Throttle on Sept.25 for the ride to Gettysburg.
4) The chapter will be hosting a Halloween Party at the American Legion on Oct.30. This event is open to the public. Mike Donohoe will be heading up a committee for the party.
5) The Toy Run is Nov.7th. The chapter will not be selling t-shirts this year.

-Jesse reported the food run a success. Jesse was also approched by Canine Partners for Life, they wanted to know if we would like to do a poker run to raise money for them. The chapter made a motion to buy 5 spaces for cow bingo for this event instead, the motion was seconded and carries, the chapter will give the Canine Partners $50 for 5 spaces for cow bing. The event is Sept, 11th.
Road Captain Report
. Guru reminded us about the District Party on July 31st. Anyone intrested in going should contact Guru, as a group will be leaving from this area.
District 9
-The district will be hosting a party on July 31 at John McDonald's American Grill. Camp Joy tickets are available. The Philly Chapter will be hosting a Pig Roast and flyers are available.

Craig and Wayne have decided to hold 2 more work details at the farm, these will be July 24 and July 31st, everyone bring their gloves and be prepared to work. Mike Donohoe has finished the electric at the farm. A motion was made to rent a bush hog if need be to clean up at the farm, this was seconded and carries. Craig drew names of 10 people to win the District 9 tickets, they are as follows: Hoppy, Jesse Killinger, Tim Killinger, Steve Stinson, Hal Morris, Rick Miller, Marshall Thompson, Rick Dickens, Guru, and Brenda Lynch.

The chapter welcomed new members today, Riders For Charity brought some flyers for event of theirs coming up in July, be sure to take one. Rick Miller thanked everyone for the success of the Memorial Day Cancer Aid ride, there was a total of 27 bikes and 34 people. he chapter made a $100 donation to cancer aid, this came from passing the hat at the after party.
Coordinators Report
Bill spoke of the Memorial Day ride and party. About 15 people rode to the Capital for the Rights Rally. The chapter presented a check for $600 to BikePac at the rally. The organization as a whole made about $10,000 for BikePac. Bill also has Hazen tickets, be sure to get yours from him. Bill also told the chapter the food drive was a success and thanked everyone who was able to help out.

Legislative:
Pat was not presented. Bill and Pat attended Lobby Day in Harrisburg. Pat talked about some of the bills that concern motorcyclists. HB2442, this bill has 120 co-sponsers. HB 67
had an amenendment added, so this one starts all over again. There has been no movement on HB2104, and HB471. Other bills that have had no movement are HB590, and HB1189. Pat reminded everyone that this is an election year and make sure you are registered to vote, if anyone needs a form. Pat and Brenda both have some.
Public Relations Report
Jesse Reed won the GPS raffled off at the Memorial Day Party. Congratulations. There were 313 tickets sold for this for a total of $1356, only 187 were unsold. The cost of the GPS was $649.90, the chapter made a profit of $706.10. Way to go everyone. Jesse has made flyers for the District 9 party and also the Scroggy Bottom Bash please be sure to take some and pass
them out. Jesse also has tickets for the Scroggy Bottom Bash.
Road Captain Report
The Rights Rally was a good turn out. There were maybe 800 to 1000 bikes at the Capital that day. There is a new motorcycle sign up on route 41 in PA, many thanks to Norm Eggers, a chapter member for this. Please check the table for flyers for up coming events. Guru has had a request for new patches, please let him know and they will bo ordered. Reminder about the food run on July 3rd.
District 9

-The chapter has a balance of $3926.52. A check was sent to the Tom Plank for $250.00 for 10 tickets to the District Party on July 31, 2010. The chapter brought in $650 from the swap meet.
Membership:
-194 members in the chapter presently. 4 expired in April, 13 will expire in May and 8 will expire in June. Any questions or concerns please see Linda. You may also see Linda for patches and pins.
Legislative:
-Pat was not presented. Bill and Pat attended Lobby Day in Harrisburg. They were very successful in handing out information about our organization and seeing the Reps. It was a very good and successful in Harrisburg. Craig talked with Rep. Sam Rohrer, who is running for Governor, prior to a town hall meeting that he spoke at.
Public Relations Report:
-The 2nd swap meet was a money maker for the chapter. A total of $650 was taken in. The flyers and tickets are available for the Scroggy Bottom Bash. Please pass them out. This event is open to the public, so get the word out. All monies and tickets for the GPS must be turned in to Jesse by May 30th; this will be the day the winning ticket will be drawn. There have been enough tickets sold to pay for the GPS. Thanks to everyone for helping out.
Road Captain Report:
-Cancer Aid ride on May 1st was successful; there was about 7 ABATE members on the ride. There will be a Swap Meet in Honey Brook on May 16th. Guru will be there with ABATE information and membership applications. There will also be a poker run hosted by Chesapeake HD on May 16th. The last Thursday of the month Chesapeake HD will be hosting a bike night.
A group will be leaving The Full Throttle Grill on May 24th for the ride to Harrisburg for the Rights Rally. The group will be leaving at 8:15 promptly.
A reminder about the Memorial Day Cancer Aid ride that will be ending with a picnic at McElyea's; there is no fee for this ride as it is by donation only.
District 9:
-The district will be hosting a party on July 31 at John McDonald's American Grill. Camp Joy tickets are available, a motion was made for our chapter to purchase 2 tickets at $12 a piece to raffle at the end of our meeting today; the motion was seconded and it carries. Two tickets were purchased from Flea and will be given away at the end of the meeting today. The Philly Chapter will be hosting a Pig Roast and flyers are available. There will be a district meeting June 5, and it opened to all members.

Work Party:
-Tim asked for volunteers for security to see him.
Work will be starting at the site for the Aug. party. Anyone interested in helping prep the site for this event, please contact Craig at clynch@zoominternet.net. A work detail has been set up for May 22 and 23 at the site. Craig will be sending out emails, anyone who is available, let Craig know.
Old Business:
1. Swap Meet- Thank you for all the help and participation with this event.

1. The chapter will be having a food drive in June before our annual Food Run in July. Jesse has a signup sheet with times available, please sign up and try to help. Thank you.

Guest: State Rep. Tom Houghton from the 13th District spoke to the chapter. He reassured the members that his name has been removed from the noise bill. The chapter also welcomed 2 new members and 3 guests.
Coordinators Report:
-Motorcycle Monthly has run our ad for the Swap meet and Yard sale. Bill passed around a picture of the tee shirts for Let's Roll. If interested in ordering one, please see Bill.
The State Website has a new format, thus making more money for ABATE.
Bill has state raffle tickets available. The tickets are $10 and the chapters will be making $3 per
each ticket sold. The raffle is based on the PA lottery drawing on Sept. 18, 2010.
Asst. Coordinators Report:
-Mike commented on the attendance at today's meeting. Nice to see members riding to the meetings on nice days.

Our chapter will not be holding a membership contest this year. The state will be holding 2 contest this year to see what chapter will increase their membership; please see Linda for all the details to these contest. Linda also has patches and year pins for anyone needing them.
Legislative:
-Lobby Day will be held on April 20 in Harrisburg. Pat has numbers of persons to contact regarding the Right to Repair Bill. Tom Houghton has removed his name from HB2104, a noise bill. May 24 is the rights rally. Pat and Brenda both have voter registration forms if anyone needs to register to vote. Pocket Constitutions are available from Pat if anyone would like one.
Public Relations Report:
-The 2nd annual Motorcycle Swap meet and yard sale will be April 24th, please take some flyers and get the word out. There will be vendors there and food is available for purchase. Calendar of events are posted and are also available on the front table. Jesse was contacted by someone from Herr's and volunteered to donate some product for our swap meet but since we are not selling food this year, Jesse asked if we could take a rain check for a different event. He will report back with further information. Philadelphia Chapter will be having a poker run on May 15th, flyers are available. Tickets are available for the Scroggy Bottom Bash. Please see Jesse and sign some out to sell. There are still some tickets available for the GPS. This will be raffled off at the Memorial Day ride and party.
Road Captain Report
-Chesapeake HD will be hosting an open house on April 17 and 18. Guru will be there on the 18th to hand out information about ABATE. Chapter patches are still available; any left over at the June meeting will be put into products for anyone to buy.
District 9
-The district will be hosting a party on July 31 at John McDonald's American Grill. Anyone going to this event is asked to donate food. -Craig passed around a sign-up sheet for anyone interested in helping prepare the farm for our August 21 chapter party: Work parties will be formed when we know what improvements need to be done at the site. -The chapter has 400 yard signs. Bill has the signs, take some and pass them to anyone who wants them. Penn Dot has paid for these this year. They may be put up on May 1.

Persons to be heard: Donna and Carmen were present from Riders for Charity and spoke of events in the area. Information is available.
Rick Miller spoke to the chapter about the 10th annual Cancer Aid Benefit on Aug. 7th. They will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on March 20th at the Family Center at Gap, as a kickoff for raising awareness and monies for the August benefit. Flyer's are available.
Coordinators Report:
-There will be a phone tree put in place in case of inclement weather and/or there is a reason to cancel a meeting. Everyone make sure the Coordinator has a current phone number. The L&L Seminar is over and the chili contest was a big success. A total of 17 chilies were entered in the contest. A $200 donation was made to BikePac from voters from the contest. Way to go everyone. Bill also passed the bucket at the banquet and another $365 was raised for BikePac.

Legislative Report
-Pat reported HB67 passed in the House and is in the Senate. Pat visited the offices of Senator Pileggi and Rep. Chris Ross. HB1189 and HB590 are bills still being watched. Rep. Houghton was a signer on HB471, a noise bill. After being contacted by Pat and doing further research, he has removed his name from this bill. A thank you note is being passed around for Rep. Houghton for removing his name from the above mentioned bill. This year will be a major election, everyone be sure to register to vote if you have not already done so. Pat and Brenda both have voter registration forms available at the meetings. The friends of NRA are hosting a dinner for Sam Rohrer and Steve Zurl has tickets.

Bill received a thank you letter from Foley’s Beef and Beer for buying 4 tickets to the benefit. The Chapter received a thank you card from The Catherine Baker Knoll Foundation for our donation to Mother’s Portrait Fund. We also received our certificate from the MRF Sustaining Membership.

New members: 4 new guests were present.
Persons to be heard: Brenda Lynch told the chapter of a Beef and Beer Benefit for a friend who is battling cancer for the second time. A motion was made for the chapter to purchase 4 tickets to this benefit; the motion was seconded and carries. We will give away the four tickets at the end of the meeting today. A hat was passed to donate to the benefit. $142 was collected. Thanks to all.
Coordinators Report:
-Bill: 4 bikes showed up at the Gap Diner on New Years’ Day for the Brass Nuts ride. A total of around 15 people showed up for breakfast; those that rode Bill’s trike around the parking lot earned their nut.

-Denise reported we have $4,334.62 in our treasury. A check for $300 was made to the American Legion as a donation, The GPS to be raffled off was paid for by the chapter; the check was for $649.90. 2 checks were made to Jesse Reed, one for $49.99 for ink for printing the raffle tickets, another for $30 for reimbursement for the website. A check was written for $809 for the chapter patches. $190 was deposited from the sales of the leftover Toy Run t-shirts.
Membership Report
-Linda reported we have 191 members. 5 expired in Dec., 17 in Jan., and 9 in Feb. Due to lack of participation the chapter will not be having a membership drive this year. Any questions or concerns dealing with membership see Linda.
Legislative Report
-Pat reminded the chapter the Legislature will be back in session on Jan. 11th. Not too much going on right now.
Public Relations Report
-The chapter website is up and running. All chapter events are posted on there as well as benefits and some classifieds. If anyone would something added to the website, please see Jesse. The GPS has been purchased and tickets are available to start selling; please see Jesse and sign out some tickets. There will be a chili cook off at the Land L Seminar this year. All proceeds from this will go to BikePac, so everyone get out and vote while enjoying some homemade chili. Jesse also has agendas for the seminar if anyone would like to see one.
Road Captain Report
-Guru told the chapter about a swap meet at Chesapeake Harley Davidson on Jan.31st. ABATE has been asked to set up a table at Hannum’s HD on Feb., 13 and 14. Guru has a flyer for a benefit for a 9 year old boy suffering from cancer, if anyone is interested in attending the benefit please see Guru. He also has new chapter patches for $20.
District 9
-Flea stated there will a District meeting at the Land L Seminar. One of the topics to be discussed whether or not there will be district fund raiser this year.

-Bill received a letter from the Catherine Baker Knoll Foundation. A portrait of the late Lt. Governor will be hung in the capitol. Anyone or organization that makes a contribution to the Foundation will receive an 8x10 portrait. A motion was made to donate $20 to the CBN Foundation, motion seconded and carries.

-Denise reported we have $5932.01 in our chapter treasury. A check was written to the L&L Seminar for $500. A check for $180.25 went to Linda McElyea for expenses for the float for the Christmas parade. An audit was done in November.
Membership Report
-Linda reported we have 195 members. 12 expired in Nov., 10 will expire in Dec., and 16 will expire in Jan. Jim Coyle was the winner of the membership drive. As such he is entitled to attend all chapter functions free. Congratulations to Jim for a great job in signing up new members. If anyone has any ideas on for a membership drive for the chapter, bring them to the next meeting. Any questions or concerns please see Linda.
Legislative Report
-Pat told the members that the General Assembly will be back in session on Dec. 7th for two weeks before the Christmas break. HB 67-Distracted Driver Bill passed the House and Senate Transportation Committee. MSP funding is going to the House for a vote; this could go through by the Christmas break. The Right to Repair bill hasn't had any movement for about 2 years. The Traffic Signal bill for motorcycles probably will not see any action until next year.
Public Relations Report
-Jesse has created a new chapter website. The site will cost $10 a month to maintain; a motion was made and seconded for the chapter to pay the maintenance fee for this site. A motion was made to reimburse Jesse the $30 out of his pocket for the first 3 months, this was seconded and motion carries. Jesse will be reimbursed. A motion was made to buy a GPS system to raffle at our Memorial Day party, this was seconded and motion carries. Jesse will take care of purchasing the system and making the raffle tickets.
Road Captain Report
-Guru, Bill, Tim and Elf attended a benefit in MD for a 6 year old girl suffering from cancer. Nearly $5000.00 was raised for the family. Our chapter sold 50/50 tickets, and raised about $2,045. Way to go guys. Guru is putting together a Brass Nuts run for Jan. 1st. The meeting place will be the Gap Diner at 9a.m. sharp. Anyone interested in going, show up at the diner.
District 9
-Flea was elected as District Rep. and was at our meeting to talk about things in the District.

Old Business
Guru had a patch design at the meeting to show the chapter. A motion was made to accept this patch, with some modifications; the motion was seconded and carries. The patches will be sold through products for $25 apiece. If anyone is interested in purchasing a patch, bring your money to the Jan. meeting.
New Business
A motion was made to donate $500 to BikePac at the L&L Seminar, motion was seconded and carries.
Mike discussed chapter flags that would include our new logo. Flags would be 2 sided with a matting in between. A motion was made to purchase flags and was seconded, but the motion was tabled until January after discussion. Anyone interested in buying a flag should bring $25 to the January meeting.
In other business, the chapter has been looking into possible locations for the Memorial Party. There will be more discussion at the Jan. meeting.
